- Comments:
This first set of days shortly after launch includes some days with
mostly non-useful atmospheric data because of testing and unusual
operations. Only UARS days 8, 10, 11, and 12 contain mostly good
atmospheric data. We note, however, that UARS day 12 exhibited an
unrecoverable V4 software error, so that no V4 Level 2/3 files exist.

MMAF_STAT = G/T/t and DQI = 4/2 (that is, good records with good radiances).
Spikes are identified by comparison of their deviation from the monthly
zonal mean with the rms variability (sigma) calculated in distinct 6 degree
latitude bins.
